This lovely hat begins with a tubular cast on and is worked in the round from the bottom up. The single rib brim is worked to double length and folded back. Chart repeats build the colourwork pattern to the correct height of the hat, and then the remainder of the chart is completed. Duplicate stitch is used to highlight some of the arrows and a pompom is made in the same colour.
The pattern is written for 2 sizes to fit a finished circumference (unstretched) of 46.5 [51.5]cm or (18¼ [20¼]in). Bash is designed to be worn with 5cm or (2 in) negative ease.
