YARN:
The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% merino wool, 30% brown masham wool, 10% mohair; 300m (328yds) per 100g hank) in Hadrian’s Wall (A) – 1 hank, Scafell Pike (B) – 1 hank and Helvellyn (C) – 1 hank.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
Latticed lace sections are interspersed with garter stitch stripes, and a splash of picot in a contrasting color binds off the edge. The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering creates a fabric that’s both sturdy and soft, with a lovely drape.
SKILL LEVEL:
Advanced beginner.
SIZES AND MEASUREMENTS:
The pattern is written for one size measuring 280 cm or [110 in] in wingspan and 60 cm or [23.5 in] in depth.
TENSION/GAUGE:
9 sts x 19 rows = 5cm (2″) x 5cm (2″) in garter stitch on size 3.5mm (US4) needles, blocked.
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS REQUIRED:
- 3.5mm (US 4) circular needles (or size to obtain gauge)
- Darning needle
