YARN:
The Fibre Co. Arranmore Light (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk, 300 m (328 yd) per 100g hank) in Slieve Sunset – 1 hank.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This simple cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up. The tucks are created as you work the main body of the cowl.

SKILL LEVEL:
Advanced beginner.

SIZES AND MEASUREMENTS:
One Size.

Finished measurements:
Cowl length: 64 cm (25 in)
Cowl width: 19 cm (7.5 in)

TENSION/GAUGE:
21 sts and 35 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st worked in the rnd using 3.75mm (US 5).

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS REQUIRED: 

  • 3.75mm (US 5) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
  • 3.75mm (US 5) straight/double point or cable needle for tucks
  • Stitch markers
  • Darning needle
